Uhm yeah, haven't posted for a while... but, I come bearing interesting stuff. ^.~
I was playing around with an image originally used for a silkscreen project done for a class. For the heck of it, transfered the image to a linoleum and printed the thing out. When I say print, I mean... I sat there and did the entire thing by sheer brute force... inking the linoleum with a little rubber roller, and then applying pressure to the insanely delicate rice paper so that the ink will pass to the page (which was also cut by hand). Long and tedious work... The kind where you want to start screaming like a loon if something goes wrong... lol.
Okay... here the images:

The paper is rice paper... very delicate and a little sheer, which can be seen in the photos. For the most part the page size is 9"x16", image size(nonvariable) is 5"x12". Ink is black watersoluble block printing ink from Speedball. The ink is also matte, not glossy by any stretch of the imagination. 'Artsy-type' info still hasn't been added to them... though, I kind of like them without that sort of thing written across the bottom.
I'm contemplating putting them up on ebay for sale. Good idea? Bad idea? Suggestions?

But I've made another print using the same design, except instead of the black ink, I'm using gold... and in place of the paper, it's black cloth. Unfortunately, the ink is still water soluble, and will be damaged with water... *sobs* But there is no way that I am switching over to oil based, since that stuff is insane to clean up.
Oh, in case you were interested, here's what the second style looks like: image (http://niyao.net/print_black_gold.jpg)
Second is same dimensions as first... but I keep looking at them and thinking about dragging out my sewing machine and turning them into mini wallscrolls. Wouldn't be all that hard to do... a hem across the top, a set of dowels, drill a hole and add in a chord.
Sorry about not having the second style up on ebay... it really didn't occur to me to do something like that until the auction was over. -_-;;;

It'll just be nice to have it up in my room. They really don't sell anything cool like that from any of companies licensed to use YnM images. You'd figure we could at least get t-shirts and posters. I'd be willing to dish out for that. I mean, Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Trigun and a whole lot of others have tons of collectables. We don't get anything. :(
I think YnM fans are the unwanted step children of the anime/manga community lol I think the wall scroll idea would be very cool. Depending on the price, I'd probably get that, too. XD But I have to be good the rest of the month. I have an anniversary, tomorrow, a birthday 10 days after that, and I have to go out to the city with my brother and his girlfriend that day after that, followed by a $60 site renewal for meifu.org in June. x_x I just wasn't meant to have money. XD
Thanks so much for sending that out so soon. ^^ I can't wait to get it.
